Binky free Branston

(February 06, 2014)

We’re very sad today to say goodbye to Branston one of our much loved permanent residents who passed away peacefully during the night in his sleep.

Branston was a very large seven year old lop. The lovely chap had many health problems but still went about his business happily each day and made great friends with our other large special needs bunnies. He had required complex surgery for a large abscess in his ear. His facial nerve had been damaged due to the infection in his ear being left untreated for so long before joining us. This had left one side of his face paralysed. He also had severe abnormalities to his neck making him a very stiff old chap.

He was greedily eating as usual yesterday so we feel reassured that this special old boy had just grown tired and that this was his right time to leave us. His sanctuary friends were all clearly upset and concerned for him when we found him this morning. I know that they will all miss him greatly as will we.

Thank you very much to Branston’s kind sponsors.
