Please help our friends at Giveacar!

(March 09, 2012)

Here's an appeal for help from our friends at Giveacar:

'I am writing to ask you a favour. We have entered Richard Branson's 'Screw Business as usual' competition with an amazing video detailing what we do (ok, it may not be amazing considering it is made with pictures I've hand drawn…) but it is 'fun' (and better than the other entries.)

So please vote for us: it won't take more than 30 seconds of your day and it would mean loads to us.

So basically, one social share (like, Tweet, +1) = one vote. So… Please click on the link http://virginunite.screwbusinessasusual.com/videochannels/?v=Giveacar_Film, watch the video (you don't even have to do that!) and if you look on the bottom right there is a 'like', 'tweet' and '+1' - click on them. And that's three votes if you have Facebook, Twitter and Google+) or just click on whatever you have.'

Please help them out they are a fantastic organisation and have so far helped raise around £250 for Camp Nibble! Here's a bit more info on their fab work:

scrap car, car scrapping for charity

Do you own a banger that’s merely gathering dust in the garage? Then you can do your bit for charity!

Giveacar is a non-profit fundraising organisation that specialises in donating unwanted and scrap cars to charitable causes, including Camp Nibble.

They provide a FREE service which is available throughout the UK, and can work with you hand-in-hand in the following ways:

  • They can arrange the collection of the vehicle
  • Depending on its age and condition, they will either send it for environmentally safe disposal and recycling at an Authorised Treatment Facility, or to a salvage auction.

Giveacar will take 25% of the profits and the rest will be donated to Camp Nibble

Since Giveacar was set up in 2010, the organisation has already raised over £500,000 for 450 charities!

To arrange collection of a car, visit Giveacar.co.uk or call 020 0011 1664, quoting Camp Nibble as your preferred charity.
