(October 13, 2011)The good people at marlerhaley.co.uk are currently running a competition giving charities a chance of winning £300 worth of vouchers to spend on their website.
To be in with a chance of winning we must explain what winning the vouchers will mean to us.....here's our entry:
Winning the vouchers would mean so much to us and could be life changing for many pet rabbits. It would assist us enormously with one of our charity's current key projects. Having been identified as the UK's most neglected pet we hope to play a role in increasing the status of pet rabbits in the UK. We would like to help modernise the currently very out-dated standards that many people deem acceptable in rabbit care. As a result we hope to reduce the incidences of suffering/neglect and abandonment of pet rabbits and reduce the strain that these rabbits place on the resources of rescue shelters.

Winning the vouchers would mean that we could get our rabbit awareness events well and truely off the ground.
If we were one of the lucky charities selected we would probably buy a table top kit to help us promote our rabbit welfare messages and display our literature:

There are currently over 35,000 homeless rabbits in UK rescue shelters, something needs to be done about this!
