Cilla is a medium/large lop eared rabbit born in 2011. She sadly found herself in need of rescue support at 5 years of age when her family moved abroad.
Cilla has advanced dental disease/eye issues and will require on-going treatment to remain happy and pain free. Her dental disease makes it difficult for her to eat a standard healthy rabbit diet as she finds it nearly impossible to eat grass/hay. With an adapted diet though she is still able to enjoy a good quality of life with her sanctuary friends.
Having been unable to get on top of a nasty on-going eye infection which Cilla was suffering with as a complication of her dental disease our vets have successfully relocated one of Cilla's tear ducts to drain lower down her face. This very clever operation has been a huge success and has possibly saved her from losing the eye.
More recently sweet Cilla has begun to develop arthritis and mobility issues in addition to her already serious health issues, we are doing our best to manage this with daily medications.
