Rabbits Available For Adoption

If you would like to provide a loving forever home to any of the rabbits featured on this page please complete our Adoption Enquiry Form.

All of our rabbits will be neutered and vaccinated before re-homing. We believe that as social animals it is important for rabbits to have company of their own kind. Therefore, our rabbits are available in the bonded pairs/groups shown, or single rabbits will be re-homed to live with an existing neutered rabbit. Occasionally rabbits cannot be kept with other rabbits. If this applies to any rabbit it will be stated in their individual description.

We require new owners to have appropriately sized accommodation for rabbits. Sadly many hutches/cages manufactured for rabbits are not suitable and do not allow rabbits to move/stretch freely. As a guide the RSPCA and Rabbit Welfare Association suggest a minimum hutch size of 6ftx2ftx2ft for a medium sized pair of rabbits. Rabbits all need regular access to a spacious, safe exercise area outside of their hutch.

For more guidance on rabbit accommodation please visit the links on our rabbit welfare and pet care pages.

Available for adoption

Rebecca and Julie - Are small/medium two year old lionhead crosses. They came to stay with us with their mum, brother and sister after their owner passed away. They are sisters from different litters. They are very sweet natured and healthy but are shy.

'We've been at Camp Nibble for over a year!'

Rebecca and Julie

Pam and Anna - These good natured lionhead sisters are two years old. Anna arrived with hideously overgrown inscisors (front teeth) which have now been removed by our rabbit specialist vet. Both girls have evidence of dental abnormalities. They are currently both in great health and may remain completely healthy. However, they have a higher chance than other rabbits of needing dental treatment in the future. Sadly this will put most people off adopting this super pair. Therefore, they are looking for a special owner who is willing to give them a chance.

Alfie and Charles - These healthy lionhead lops are brothers and are one year old. Alfie and Charles originally came to us as they were unwanted after a relationship breakup. Both boys were shy as had probably not had much attention but otherwise good natured. They found a new home. However, they have sadly been returned to us. Like many of the thousands of other rabbits in rescue shelters they haven't lived up to their new family's expectations. Alfie and Charles are now looking for a forever home to settle down in. Their new owner must be happy to give their fluffy manes the occassional brush!

 Alfie

Charles

Pootle and Cloud - This cheeky pair are ten month old brothers. They are medium sized crossbreeds in good health. Pootle and Cloud joined us with four of their littermates at only six weeks old.

Daisy and Smudgey - This cheeky pair are ten month old brother and sister. They are medium sized crossbreeds in good health. Smudgey and Daisy joined us with four of their littermates at only six weeks old.

Daisy and Smudgey

Amy and Toby2 - We believe that Amy was abandoned by her owners as she was found in woodland. She is far too tame to survive even a night in the wild and was very keen to play with the dog who found her during his walk! Amy is a lovely natured large lop. She is in good health and a young rabbit. Toby 2 is a good natured large albino lop who is two years old and in good health. He needed to come into rescue after a relationship break up.

Toby2 and Amy

Hannah and Radley - Hannah is a large healthy three year old English cross rabbit. She is looking for an adult owner as although not particularly aggressive can be territorial when in her hutch. Radley also three years old is another large rabbit. He is a healthy lop with a laid back friendly nature who has sadly joined us after a relationship breakup.

Hannah and Radley

Hector and Day-Z - Have joined us after being rescued by a local pony sanctuary. Hector is a sweet natured small/medium male albino, and is two years old. Day-Z is a three year old medium female dutch rabbit. Both bunnies are in good health.

Hector and Day-Z

Arthur and Jess - Arthur is a sweet natured laid back lionhead. Jess is a lop who although generally good natured is quite a jumpy bunny and can be a little territorial in her cage. Both bunnies are three years old and in good health.

Jess and Arthur

Little Bear and Jessica - Little Bear is a stunning six month old english bunny. Little bear is a friendly young boy who needs a new home due to his original owner's severe allergy. He is a medium sized rabbit in great health. Jessica is a medium sized one year old crossbreed with a good nature. Jessica arrived with a very large abscess on her side which had gone un-noticed at her previous home. Jessica has had major surgery to remove the abscess which has been a complete success. She is now back to full health. We believe that the abscess was a result of an old bite wound from the guinea pig that Jessica was inappropriately sold to live with.

Little Bear and Jessica

Little Grey and Bonnie - Little grey was bought from a market auction where lots of rabbits were being kept in very bad conditions. He was brought to us as the people who bought him were unable to keep him. Little Grey soon found a great home as a friend to a lonely bunny Bonnie. Sadly, Little Grey and Bonnie's owner found herself unable to keep them. Therefore, Little Grey is without a home of his own again! He is a healthy Angora cross, who will need his coat brushing now and then to keep it matt free. Bonnie is a cuddly lop who otherwise healthy has joined us a little overweight! She was originally found abandoned on someone's doorstep. We do not know the exact ages of either bunny. However, we would estimate them to be around 2 years old.

Oscar and Bonnie

Bunny and Peter - Bunny is a two year old Albino New Zealand White. This is a large breed of rabbit that requires spacious accommodation. She is a healthy, good natured girl. Bunny started life as a lab rabbit involved in a study to investigate ear mites! She was extremely lucky to find a home at the end of the experiments as sadly most of the rabbits used in these types of experiments are not so lucky. Despite finding a new home Bunny has needed to join us as her owners have moved abroad. She has a small piece missing from one ear which is as a result of a fight with another rabbit during her time as a lab rabbit. Peter is a large four year old cross breed with a laid back nature. Sadly Peter's owner was unable to continue caring for him and was considering having him put to sleep. Although short haired Peter has a very thick coat and arrived horribly matted. The skin on his back end had begun to tear under the weight of the matts and clods of dirt. Peter is in good overall health other than a weepy eye.

Reggie and George 2 - Reggie is a medium/large rabbit with a laid back nature. He is estimated to be around 3/4 years old and is in good health for his age. Reggie was rescued along with another rabbit after being abandoned by his owner's. Along with the bunnies the owners had left behind an aquarium of tropical fish (which had sadly all died by the time they were found) and a cat with several kittens. They had been left for around eight weeks before Reggie and his friend were removed from the property. George's family surrendered him to us at six years old, he is now seven. He is an easy going old boy also in good health for his age. He is a large cross breed with a very big head and ears! Despite not being the most obvious pairing these two lads get along great.

Reggie and George2

Laura and Jerry 2 - Laura sadly needed to join us after her owner passed away. She is a beautiful big girl at a whooping 4.7kg! Laura is a three year old albino lop in good health. She will need particularly spacious accommodation. Laura is generally good natured towards people. However, she can be unpredictably aggressive. Therefore, due to her large size would be best suited to adult owners. Jerry is a good natured three year old large lop. His mother was a giant rabbit so he is larger than average weighing around 4kg. Jerry has lots of excess skin with on his body. This has probably resulted from when rabbits were bred for fur so more fur could be produced per rabbit :( This has sadly led to the skin around his face irritating his eyes constantly leaving them very sore. Jerry has recently had a facelift operation performed by our rabbit specialist vet! The operation should make Jerry comfortable and free from irritation for the first time in years. Unfortunately though this is likely not to have permanent results and Jerry will most likely need further treatment.

Herbert and Jane- Herbert is a sweet natured albino mini lop was found wandering the streets of Bradford, we suspect that he was abandoned by his owners due to dental problems. Herbert's overgrown incisors made it very hard for him eat anything other than his bunny pellets, he struggles to eat grass and hay. He arrived very underweight as he had probably been physically unable to eat anything whilst living stray. Herbert is now back to full health. He has had his incisors (front teeth) removed and is now a happy healthy bun. He has been assessed by a recognised rabbit specialist and has no evidence of any further dental problems. We estimate him to be around eighteen months old. Jane is another sweet little rabbit who was found wondering the streets. She is in good health and is also estimated to be around eighteen months old. Jane had a very lucky escape as the teenagers who found her were planning on pouring petrol on her and setting fire to her! We are so relieved that a kind girl got to her in time and brought her to safety.

Molly - Is an eighteen month old lionhead lop in good health. She is a medium sized bunny.

Sanctuary Rabbits - Not available for adoption due to ongoing health issues.

Noddy and Angry Alice - Noddy is a two year old Dwarf lop with a lovely nature. He was surrendered by his owners when he became ill. He arrived with a badly damaged eye which he was in danger of loosing caused by a severe tear duct infection. Noddy has dental disease and requires regular treatment for an ongoing tear duct infection. Alice is a stunning large albino lop who is very wary of people. She does not liked to be touched (or photographed sorry Alice!) and due to her large size is bit of a handful to say the least! Noddy became depressed after loosing his first wife Ada, Alice's company has given him a new spring in his step.

Kent - Kent is a lovely laid back boy who we estimate to be around four years old. He was confiscated along withseveral other rabbits who were being kept in very cruel conditions, sadly not all of these rabbits survived. Kent has paralysis of the facial muscle on one side of his face and appears to be blind and deaf on the same side. For two years the cause of his disabilities was a mystery to us and several vets. However, during her investigations our rabbit specialist discovered a large scar under his fur. It is now clear that early in his life he has been seriously attacked. As a result he has chronic infections and requires ongoing treatment. Due to his complicated medical history we have decided that Kent will join our sanctuary rabbits.
